CELEBRATING 100 YEARS OF ROTARY IN QUEENSLAND 1923-2023
MITCHELTON ROTARY CLUB
2023 marks 100 years of Rotary in Queensland, to commemorate this centenary year Mitchelton Rotary Club will be planting 100 trees in Mitchelton to align with the Rotary International New Area of Focus for projects being Supporting the Environment, this event supports this ambition while continuing to support the community. 
The Tree Planting Event will be held at-the Mc Conaghy Street Park, 171 Mc Conaghy Street, Mitchelton, Saturday 1st April 2023 between 2-3pm.
This proposed tree planting area will be adjacent to an ongoing vision of protecting the earth and giving back that has seen Brisbane City Council and Habitat Brisbane Tuesday Tree Liberators (TTL) Group already plant trees in abundance.
The event is supported by Brisbane City Council, Habitat Brisbane and Councillor Andrew Wines will be the Officiate for this event. 
We invite all community members to attend this tree planting event to improve our local environment along Kedron Brook and also create an opportunity to talk with our club members to see what other needs we may be able to support the community in. 
The tree planting event will be followed by an afternoon tea provided by Mitchelton Rotary Club.
