Mitchelton Rotary are proud to be hosting their 2025 Fundraiser for Umoja and are delighted that Cathy Booth, founder of Umoja, is able to join us as our Guest Speaker to share an insight into the progress made since its inception and also to highlight some of the challenges that still lie ahead for the Orphanage.
In 2020 our fundraiser was to raise the roof on the second children’s home, “Sinnamon House”, which was named in honour of passed Mitchelton Rotarian, John Sinnamon.
“ Sinnamon House” has been completed and is in use
Cathy Booth has nominated the completion of the new boundary block wall , which is half completed as the current priority project. Details of the function and how you can make a contribution to complete the construction of the new block wall are as follows:
VENUE: Arana Leagues Club, Foundation Room, 247 Dawson Parade, KEPERRA QLD 4054
DATE/TIME: Saturday 15th March 2025 – 5.30pm for 5.45pm start
COST: SINGLE TICKET - $10.00
MEAL : We will adjourn to the downstairs restaurant for a meal at your own cost at 7.30pm.
DONATION ONLY: You can also make a donation via Trybooking which will provide a tax receipt
