The annual District 9620 Rotary Tree Planting Day was held on the 14th April 2024, at Mansfield, along Bulimba Creek to create  habitat and corridor for wildlife including Koalas.
The Tree planting event is supported by the Brisbane City Council and has been a Rotary event over many years. It is heartening to see the rapid grow of the trees and shrubs planted last year.
There were 115 volunteers including Ellie and Josephine representing Mitchelton Rotary Club, with 17 Rotary Clubs and 2 Rotaract Clubs participating in the event. After the planting work the scones for morning tea were appreciated by all.
The annual tree planting event is facilitated by David and Mary Kearney from Karana Bellbowrie Rotary Club, who are to be commended for their commitment to the environment.
