Mitchelton Rotary Club Welcomes New Member Liz Wavik
At Our Club Meeting on 12th May 2026 , Liz Wavik was welcomed as a new Club Member and inducted into Mitchelton Rotary Club, by Club President Ian Cameron.
Liz had been one of our Guest Speakers on the 14th April 2026 , with Cathy Knauth on the topic of the "Days for Girls" charity and the services they promote.
"Days for Girls" partners with Rotary International to deliver the menstrual hygiene kits to countries such as Papua New Guinea, Chad and Timor Leste , with 700 kits delivered last year.
Liz is committed to promoting ''Days for Girls " menstrual hygiene awareness and distributing kits to school girls in Gulf Province in Papua New Guinea.
Liz has had previous Rotary experience and will be a great contributor to our Club.
Mitchelton Rotary Club has recently donated $600 to "Days for Girls" from our most recent suasage sizzle fund raiser.
